TakeHome SG is a take-home pay calculator for Singapore — for citizens, PRs, and the expats who move here. Every figure traces to a named source, with the date it was last checked.

What this is
TakeHome SG is a take-home pay calculator for Singapore — built for citizens, PRs, and the expats who move here. It starts from your gross monthly pay and shows what actually lands in your account, together with the CPF that gets there, and a clearly separate annual income-tax estimate.
Why Singapore is different
Most take-home tools assume income tax comes off your pay every month. In Singapore it does not. There is no monthly withholding for citizens and PRs: the only thing that reduces your monthly take-home is your employee CPF. Income tax is real, but it is worked out once a year and paid the following year — self-assessed, never deducted from a payslip. This site is built around that fact. The monthly calculator and the annual-tax estimate are kept as two separate instruments so the estimate can never be mistaken for a monthly deduction.
For foreigners on a work pass the monthly picture is simpler still: no CPF, so take-home equals gross. Income tax is still owed and settled annually.
The sources it uses
The figures come from Singapore’s primary authorities: the CPF Board for contribution rates, the wage ceilings and the Skills Development Levy; the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) for the resident income-tax scale, the reliefs and the non-resident treatment; and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for context figures such as median income. The calculator is set to the current wage year, when the Ordinary Wage ceiling reached its final step and the current CPF rates took effect.
Our promise: honest numbers
One rule sits above the rest: no number here is invented. Every rate and amount comes from a single payload, traced to those primary sources. Anything that could not be confirmed against a primary source is left out or clearly hedged — we would rather write less than write something that does not hold up.
For now no figure here has been through this site’s own sign-off. Each one is transcribed from a named primary source and recomputed where it is derived, but until a reviewer of record has signed it, treat the result as an estimate rather than an official figure.
The sources behind this site were last checked: jul 2026. Once signed off, each value will carry its source and last-verified date.
